A live interview with Norman Smith to discuss his life’s journey and distinguished career at Mass Audubon for over 50 years. Norman started the Snowy Owl Project in 1981. He has banded over 900 Snowy Owls and is known nationally and internationally as one of the leading experts on Snowy Owls.

Please join the South Shore Bird Club and Mass Audubon South Shore Sanctuaries for a special program. We will hear from Norman Smith about his life’s journey and distinguished career at Mass Audubon for over 50 years. He was also the Sanctuary Director at Mass Audubon Trail Side Museum in Canton, MA from 1990 to 2019. Norman started the Snowy Owl Project in 1981, now going on 45 years. He has banded over 900 Snowy Owls and is known nationally and internationally as one of the leading experts on Snowy Owls.
